I'm Here to Listen
Struggles with racing thoughts, not wanting to get out of bed, nightmares, or difficulty concentrating can make the strongest person feel overwhelmed and isolated.
You are not alone.
I am here for YOU.
My focus is to help those through counseling, heal through their trauma, find ways to manage their anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mental health symptoms from PCOS. To allow them space to become aware of their inner strengths by offering telehealth and in-person sessions in the state of Michigan. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing therapy to meet your goals.
My approach that I bring to therapy is warm, non-judgmental, empathic, and sprinkled with humor as needed.
Sessions may include using various techniques stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Somatic Therapy (processing using your body), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Processing.
Well for starters, my name is Heather Pajonk and am licensed in the state of Michigan. I specialize in working with teens and adults that are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD.
With my clients, I focus on their strengths and empowering them in their journey. I believe that therapy is about holding a a person’s story and walking alongside them in a non-judgmental and trauma-informed way.
I graduated with my master’s in social work from Western Michigan University in 2018, specializing in trauma over the lifespan and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and their caregivers).
Since then, I have worked at my community mental health agency as a case manager and home-based therapist. I am also an outpatient therapist at a group practices for children, teens, and adults.
On my off time, I really enjoy camping, the great outdoors, and creating art or jewelry. My rescue canine and my Bengal cat, keep me busy, covered in fur, and my heart full.
